What Are Wall Street Analysts' Target Price for Charter Communications Stock?![]() With a market cap of $58.3 billion, Charter Communications, Inc. (CHTR) is a leading broadband connectivity and cable operator serving residential and commercial customers across the United States. The company provides subscription-based internet, video, mobile, and voice services, while also offering advertising, enterprise IT solutions, and regional sports and news networks. Shares of the Stamford, Connecticut-based company have significantly outperformed the broader market over the past 52 weeks. CHTR has surged 52.5% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 10%. Moreover, shares of Charter Communications are up 20.6% on a YTD basis, compared to SPX’s marginal decline. Focusing more closely, the cable provider has also outpaced the Communication Services Select Sector SPDR ETF Fund’s (XLC) nearly 22% gain over the past 52 weeks. ![]() Despite reporting a weaker-than-expected Q1 2025 EPS of $8.42, Charter Communications' shares climbed 11.4% on Apr. 25. The company posted total revenue of $13.7 billion, exceeding the consensus estimate, and added 514,000 mobile lines. Analysts credited Charter’s bundled service plans and “free mobile line” offer for driving mobile growth, even as average revenue per user (ARPU) begins to recover. For the current fiscal year, ending in December 2025, analysts expect CHTR's EPS to grow 13.2% year-over-year to $39.58. The company's earnings surprise history is mixed. It beat the consensus estimates in three of the last four quarters while missing on another occasion. Among the 24 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” That’s based on 12 “Strong Buy” ratings, eight “Holds,” and four “Strong Sells.” ![]() This configuration is more bullish than three months ago, with nine “Strong Buy” ratings on the stock.
